New Prints
Small release of four different watercolor artworks on archival papers in time for holiday gifting. Three of the pieces were originally created on tan BFK Rives paper which adds a wonderful depth to the colours. The fourth piece is an abstract watercolor monotype on Kitakata paper which is a lovely, light paper that soaks up water and has beautiful irregularities that add to the composition and feel of the work.
Torn Paper Collage
Collage, for me is finding the harmony of shapes and colors. Sifting through and choosing the pieces intentionally that speak well with one another and tell a story within the confines of that one composition
Perspectives
The Perspectives Series explores different viewpoints on nature from literature. Using raw canvas, linen and earthy hues, each work is a visual interpretation of quotes that touch on the idea of nature. Human nature, forests and deserts, or the whole ecosystem of earth.
The Connected Series
The Connected Series explores our links to one another in both digital and physical space. How those connections both expand our world and limit it. We’re all a part of each other’s lives, for better or worse. The series began before the stay at home orders which naturally added another layer.
